Our story began exactly where yours probably has—standing beside a horse before a competition, hoping for perfect plaits and feeling the frustration when they just wouldn’t turn out right.
As a lifelong rider herself, and a mother of a daughter who also rides, our founder knows the challenge all too well. After years of getting ponies and horses competition ready, she experienced the same struggle that so many equestrians face: uneven plaits, thin sections of mane caused by rug rubs, and the pressure of spending precious time trying to make everything look perfect before entering the arena.
But she also had something unique—a professional background as a hairstylist.
Instead of accepting the problem, she began searching for a solution.
Drawing on her knowledge of working with natural hair, she carefully handcrafted a single plait from 100% real hair. To give it the perfect shape and durability, she sealed it in wax before attaching it to a clip. She testet the stability of the prototype on a horse.
It worked.
The result was a natural-looking plait that could be attached in seconds while delivering the same beautiful, professional finish every single time, while still being securely attached.
That first handmade plait became the beginning of our Clip-On Plaits.
Today, every product is inspired by the same goal: to help riders spend less time worrying about braiding and more time focusing on what they love most—enjoying the partnership with their horse and performing with confidence in the arena.
